Applications (Why These Specs Matter)
For B2B designs, the “right crystal” is rarely defined by frequency alone. FCX-M5 is typically selected when you need a MHz DIP resonator that stays stable over environment and time, while handling assembly stress (shock/vibration) and maintaining predictable startup in a Pierce oscillator.
| Scenario | What designers need | How FCX-M5 helps |
|---|---|---|
| Communication electronics | Frequency accuracy margin, stable over temperature | ±10 ppm @25°C and stability options support tighter link timing and frequency planning. |
| Measurement instruments | Low drift and low aging over service life | Excellent aging characteristics reduce recalibration frequency in long deployments. |
| Rugged assemblies | Shock resistance in handling/transport and industrial installation | Resistance welded construction supports strong mechanical robustness vs. lighter structures. |
| MCU/ASIC Pierce oscillators | CL matching and safe drive | CL 10/18/20 pF options and defined drive level help predictable startup and reliability. |
