Applications: Where FCX-M1 Fits (and Why)
A DIP MHz crystal is often selected when you need a stable reference for a discrete oscillator or clock circuit, with easy handling for prototypes and production fixtures.
- Communication equipment: Stable frequency tolerance and temperature stability help reduce channel offset and maintain predictable timing margins across environments.
- Measurement & instrumentation: Aging performance and controlled drive level support repeatable calibration intervals and stable time bases.
- General clock generation (MCU/SoC peripheral clocks): When paired with an IC’s internal oscillator circuit, selecting the correct CL and keeping drive level within limits improves start-up reliability and reduces stress on the resonator.

Ordering Code / Options
To quote accurately, crystals are usually specified by frequency and electrical load conditions. Provide the items below to receive a fast RFQ (samples, mass production, or custom build).
| Item | What to specify | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Frequency | Target frequency (MHz) and mode (fundamental / overtone) | Defines the resonator design; overtone impacts ESR limits and oscillator margins |
| Load Capacitance (CL) | 10 / 18 / 20 pF or custom | Correct CL improves frequency accuracy in your oscillator circuit |
| Tolerance @25°C | e.g., ±10 ppm | Initial frequency offset budget |
| Stability over temperature | e.g., ±10 ppm (-20 to 70°C) or ±30 ppm (-40 to 85°C) | Controls drift in field conditions |
| Operating temperature | -40 to +85°C (or confirm your range) | Impacts stability requirement and screening |
| Drive level | Keep within 10 µW typ / 100 µW max | Prevents overstress; improves long-term reliability |
| Packaging | Bulk, tape, or special packing (if required) | Defines delivery format for production |
