Overview
The FCO-2K-UC is a 32.768 kHz ultra-low current CMOS crystal oscillator in a compact 2.5×2.0×0.81 mm SMD package. Designed for coin-cell and wearable platforms, it delivers 1.4 μA typical current at no load with tight accuracy of ±10 ppm at 25 °C and ±25 ppm over −40~+85 °C. A fast ≤ 8 ms start-up ensures reliable RTC initialization after sleep.
- Optimized for RTC reference clocks and always-on domains
- Low jitter CMOS levels: VoH ≥ 0.9×Vdd, VoL ≤ 0.1×Vdd
- Robust operation across voltage/load variation and 1st-year aging
For best performance, place a 0.1 μF bypass capacitor close to Vdd–GND pads.

Design & PCB Guidelines
- Decoupling: place a 0.1 μF ceramic capacitor close to the device between Vdd and GND pads.
- Keep the output trace short and isolated from noisy/high-slew nets to minimize coupled jitter.
- Use a continuous ground reference under the part; avoid splits under the output pin.
