Fuji Crystal has recently introduced a new generation of CMOS oscillator series, namely FCO-3C and FCO-2C, with high precision and a frequency stability of ±10 ppm. These oscillators are suitable for the increasing demand for high-speed transmission in the 5G era and can provide accurate and stable frequency output in high-frequency, high-power-consumption environments.

With the growing requirements for frequency stability and accuracy in applications such as network communication standards like IEEE1588 using 25 MHz oscillators, displays utilizing 27 MHz, and commonly used 33.333 MHz PCIe interfaces in non-heat dissipating PC systems operating for extended periods in high-temperature environments, the need for higher precision oscillators has become evident. Previously, oscillators with a frequency stability of ±25 ppm or ±50 ppm were common, but there is now a shift towards more accurate ±10 ppm oscillators to compensate for errors caused by high temperatures and improve signal stability and network quality.

The FCO-3C and FCO-2C oscillators from Fuji Crystal fill the gap between standard oscillators and temperature-compensated oscillators in the market, providing a cost-effective high-precision solution. These oscillators not only offer high precision (±10 ppm @ -40 ~ 85°C) and low power consumption but also meet the requirements of various applications such as smart meters, wireless communication, Internet of Things (IoT), and mobile devices.
